What is Dead or Alive?
Dead or Alive is a popular video game developed by Team NINJA. Tomonobu Itagaki, the original creator of DOA, envinsioned a fighting game with beautiful women, and the first game was released in 1996 using the same engine as Virtua Fighter 2. The protagonist of the series is Kasumi; a princess with brown hair and a dark blue kunoichi (female ninja) garb. Having a female as the main character in a fighting game was a unique departure during the the past.
The first Dead or Alive was known for its strict holding system and exaggerated bouncing chests, so the series has garnered attention for having fan service. The series has always portrayed the female fighters as "cute, beautiful, strong, and sexy". Thus the popularity of the female fighters led to the creation of Dead or Alive Xtreme.
What is Dead or Alive Xtreme?
Dead or Alive Xtreme is a spin-off of the Dead or Alive fighting game series. It stars the female cast of DOA, and mainly focuses on mini games and collectibles. Players can play volleyball, jet skiing, beach flags, rock climbing, to name a few -- and are also able to view gravure of the girls relaxing.
Today, there are 4 games in the DOAX series, and DOAX: Venus Vacation counts as the 5th. This iteration is free to play with gacha elements.

Hi there, great job on translating all this information, its very helpful. However, despite having made an account on dmm I still cant figure out how to install or play this game at all. Has it been released? how does one go about installing it? sorry for all the questions and thanks for any help you can provide
ReplyDeleteThe game should be releasing in a few days, but right now it's not available to download. Up until a few days ago you can't access the game page (it gives a "Cannot be found" error) via browser or DMM Game Player unless you have a Japanese IP address, so your only option would be to use a VPN.
